Fresh, actually Extra Fresh as I re~installed Windows cos I apparently had a corrupted Windows Installer...but only for the FP CD other games got past the Install Shield no problem in tests where I click "cancel" when I see the Install Shield working.

Same,

Last month did a fresh install of windows then recently removed FB-AEP and id a fresh install of FB-AEP-PF. I did encounter the AEP install bug of missing language registry entry that I had to correct manually.

So far my Win XP is "out of the box" vestion without any service pack upgrades (got the new DX though). When I upgraded to SP 1 or 2 my usb joystick failed to function. I need to locate the proper MB usb drivrs and try a SP 2 upgrade again.

I initially installed over FB/AEP, but was getting frequent freezes, so finally did total un-install, followed by fresh FB+AEP+PF, followed by some PF/Coastie inspired tweaking...bottom line, I couldn't be happier!! (Finally)

Just installed over FB/AEP and not a problem. Started playing online with it for the first time too. No problems there either.

Procedure:

Copied FB/AEP folder to a new location.
Installed PF standalone
Installed PF over original FB/AEP installation
Created new desktop icon for copied FB/AEP folder.

Result is there are now on my system:

Working IL2 Sturmovik 1.0
Working IL2:Forgotten Battles 1.22
Working IL2:Forgotten Battles 2.04
Working FB/AEP/PF 3.0
Working PF standalone 3.0

I installed over top, and it's been, well...twitchy.

Installed both, over IL-2:FB+AEP and a standalone.

Overtop of FB+AEP and nary a problem.

I don;t use any add-on's, only mission packs and the BOE mission add-on.
