View Full Version : Saitek rudder pedals

I haven't found anything on the forum regarding Saitek's rudder pedals. Anyone out there using them yet? I've seen them on sale here (Canada) for $179.99CDN, about the same price as CH pedals.

Thanks<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

The Saitek pedals work great although assigning breaks to the pedals is unintuitive and goofy.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I second Chivas.

The 'toe-brake' switch might be used for something else though... Can't think what at the minute... There must be something ... Just a shame to 'waste' a switch.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

True, but for IL2 it assigns directly in the game control setup.

Oddly enough the left and right are separate so you could assign another function... is there a plane that utilizes separate L/R brakes?<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Yes, BOB WOV, has seperate left and right brakes. I set the rudder pedals up for BOB WOV and then set them up in Saitek software for FB. I never realized that the Brakes were in the FB Hotas Control section.

By the way. BOB WOV has released another patch which improves the game even more. Its a decent sim now and getting quite stable. There are still niggles like the small AI warp, but they continue to work on these issues. As this engine will be used for their new sim Flying Tigers, BOB will constantly be improved. Anyway its worth reloading or buying, and its also quite cheap at the moment.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
