Go with EVO. I have both X45 and EVO, must say that with X45 you will suck, while with EVO you will not. There's your difference, plain and simple.

However if you have pedals or plan to get one, go with X45. That way you wont have to use cr@ppy rocker rudder ctrl on X45. X45 is solid HOTAS with good stick and throttle except for that rudder control, which is unusable for precise aiming.

Never.. but must say that rocker rudder ain't that popular among real prop jockeys either.
Don't want to mock you but that kind of comparison does not stand.

About X52 I don't know it looks promising.

I would say that if you plan to get rudder pedals in the future then get an X-45, no twist handle and the rudder rocker can be used as a switch once you get your pedals.... if you do not plan to get pedals or if you prefer a twist handle rudder solution then go for an X-52... whatever you choose ask yourself how detatched you want to be from your keyboard. If the answer is 90% or better then make sure you get an X-45 or X-52. Try here (http://store.yahoo.com/saitekusa/recprod.html) first whichever stick you choose.

My last stick was an EVO and about a week ago I upgraded to the X-52. It made a huge difference. The X-52 is much more precise and has so many modes and shift functions that you can program just about every function in PF into the stick. Its really unbelievable.
