View Full Version : Need Help!!! Trying to find lost artwork of Fumio Takano

About twelve months ago I posted a link to the webpage called Takano Graphic. Fumio Takano produced beautiful computer aided renderings of aviation subjects. Among the most memorable was a side view of a Ki-61 that had belly landed into a field. There were many others too and I saved all of them to my hard drive.

About a month ago my computer died and I lost the images as well as a great deal of other stuff. Pretty much everything else can be replaced, but I have been unable to find Fumio Takano's work again. Sadly his website no longer exists.

As a last resort, I would like to appeal to anyone who might have also visited his site and saved some of his illustrations. If you have any and can spare the time to post them I would be extremely grateful.

This is the only picture I was able to source form the internet. Perhaps it might jog someones memory:

Hi!

I'm not sure thats the right person. I'm pretty certain Fumiko is a girls name. The Arawasi website produces a magazine that he contributed to at least twice. A review of one is here: http://www.internetmodeler.com/2005/august/new-releases/book_Arawasi.php

About 2 thirds of the way down it mentions his contribution. The spelling definitely seems to be Fumio Takano (or Takano Fumio, depending on if you want to put the first name last).
Doing an image search of his name yeilded the Ki-15 pic above, but thats all I cuold find.

Thanks for all your efforts so far! You guys are great http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif I'm sure someone or something will turn up soon *fingers crossed*

Major Setback is no longer with us. That just leaves Kenji-san and Billish who might remember takano's work.

What! Don't tell me I'm one of the undead, that'd be just my luck.

Anyway, why did you think I'd left? I went away for Christmas but came back within 3 weeks...nice to know I was missed though!

I'll post the few pictures I have from the site in a few weeks time (patience). I also tried to find his site without luck....just didn't bother telling you that; 'no news' is no news as it were.
