All you can do is try to predict his next move and when he crosses your gunsight, shoot him.

its Hard! specially when chasing someone on a spiral dive, specially when using cannons!

I can follow on his spiral dive but when the bandit pulls up, it will cause alot of Gs
so whats the best thing to do? keep my distance then wait for his next move?

Don't follow them (especially 190s and 109s) in the spiral dive.
Keep your altitude and energy, but keep them in sightand wait for them to come back up.

curiosity kills.........don't bother following in a spiral.

patience saves........ as mentioned wait it out at a higher altitude. You will have the advantage of being able to see him below, and have the luxery of attacking at will.

Never be afraid to back out of a fight to get a better advantage if things aren't going the way you planned your attack.

DO A FORUM SEARCH FOR THE BOOKLET 'IN PURSUIT.'

Download it and incorporate what you learn. It really is a stellar effort by Johan Kylander.

The AI is a master at it. I find it better than a lot of human pilots.

Hardest thing in the game (in life?"): Patience.. stay high, wait, and as I think paraphrasing Galland, fly right up their rear before firing. You can't miss at point blank range http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Try using very short bursts. You can squeeze single shots out of a 30mm cannon, two or three from a 20mm with a single quick sqeeze of the trigger. Fire once, correct, repeat. One or two hits from a 20mm will damage a fighter to the point where they become less maneuverable and slower and therefore usually easier to knock down. A single hit from a 30mm, is usually enough to finish a fighter.

What is your gun convergence set at? There lots of opinions on this forum about which distance work best. During WWII convergence on US fighter was often set around 225 yrds (~200m). With wing mounted guns 250m works well for me. If I only have nose mounted guns, I move the convergence out to 500m since the guns are already close together.

But probably the only sure way to get those shaky bandits is practice, practice, practice.

Easy. Prevent them from being shaky. Attack when they don't see/expect you.

I set my Conv. at 250M
most players online waits for your first shot before maneuvering....

I think 250 is the best , not too long, not too short http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

It is very annoying to take out bandits with height advantage http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

you need at least 500M conv....

What i do is i pass underneath the bandit then i let him chase me and i do a vertical move then BOOOOOM !!!

Its a fine move! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif
