I had them also but I fixed them completly with a few very simple tweaks. Hits to frame rates were not noticable/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

In setup I used "soundblaster live" settings and then...

This should help someone and thats good enough for me/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

Hmm sound is still porked..though slight improvements.. Ó°nabling Extensions doesnt still work properly on Hercules-sound cards.. and enabling them improves sound a lot! I mean they add a nice 3dsound enviroment.. tested with a friend, and it works for him..I have a bug, that if i enable them, sound volume goes WAY too down.. but quality much better.. i love the .50cal sound when extensions is enabled. Gives a nice Bass-boost /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Anyway.. your pic shows default settings, and it works fine for most.. but might not give the best sound quality.. depends on hardware.

What sound cards are you using????

Do you find that if you turn the power off when flying ie 0% the engine sounds keep running?? Or is this a new feature more realistic??

Yep, got the same problem with my Game Theater XP. Oh well, there is always a next patch.

TIP!!!!

I find if I'm getting muffled and distorted sounds the volume in windoze is too high. I run my windows volume at 75% and get no distortian or muffled sounds in any games (got it alot in GPL, EA's F1 series games and Nascar 2003 until I did this).

See you in the fence.....

SmokeJag:-
I have headphones and a Soundblaster Live!. Can I leave everything else as shown and change the output to "Headphones"?

Second question: when I first got FB, I moved my sound hardware acceleration from full to standard. Can I move it back up now?

Thanks,

Rich

Whenever I'm near flak, my engine sound can hardly be heard anymore... /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

For me is fading out when changing to fly by view , but I have a crappy sound card so I don't have any comments on this.
