Why is the AI so selfdestructive, playing the Crimean campaign was funny in the beginning then it turned into hell when Friendly AI Allt he time run straight into mountains. And they do it often.

The problem, as I see it is that they dont fast enough compensate for changes in the terrain. If there is a mountain in their way, they will run into it.

Now I am at the Kuban campaign. The problem is that around the landing strip there are some higher hills (with woods). All my wingmen and the escorts crasche when they try to land.

Thats really annoying.

(luckily i turned of land and take off so I can still complete the missions without loosing all my wingmens)

A solution would possibly be to not let the hills exist for the wingmens. Yup, thats lame and not very realistic. But in real life pilots didnt run their planes into Hills and mountains just for the fun of it.

One sure way to kill friendly wingmens in the Crimean campaign is to be over the sea, and then order the wingmen to return to base. They will all fly inte the mountains and die, EVERY time.

How do other players deal with this?
