So way back in 2003 I'd been whoring the UBI online servers, when I got an invite to a new local server.
I still find this clip evident of Olegs great a/c modelling.. way back then
FW is great (30MB) (http://www.vanjast.com/IL2Movies/FW190_001.WMV)

Even at this early stage I'd 'latched' onto the FW190 - Nice plane

So many 20mm hits O.O and only a dead engine ?/?

Nice flying, the 190 is an amazing plane if you fly it right.

Wow, I've never seen an airplane absorb that many 20mm hits without large parts coming off http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif .

Very nice flying though http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif, I enjoyed the track.

There was a mixup in ammo mixes for the 151/20 that wasn't properly identified (thanks Talon Tiger!)
and fixed until IIRC 2004 or 2005. So the gunpod 151/20's had the normal mix and all the others had
the gunpod mix especially belted AP-heavy to attack IL-2s with. The normal mix has more MG/HE shells.

Improper identification of the problem was that MG/HE shells were too weak, so -that- was checked at
Maddox Games and every time they were not. After a few times they quit checking. It was a long process
to even get them to look at the ammo belting since they were really busy on other fixes.

AP has to hit something important to count for much. The pilot for instance except that it has to be
certain small areas in IL2 people or no damage.

Here is a relevant track:

This was also from 2003, and it is a 109g2 using gunpods. As you can see it was very, very effective......
