So my graphics card saga goes on..............

I noticed last night CC had 256MB DDR3 (non-over-clock) 7600GT's in their display for $209. I knew the price was wrong, so I checked their web-site and saw them for $119.00 with the same exact specs and the ONLY 7600gt listed.

http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/eVGA-e-GeForce-7600-GT-2...ccd/productDetail.do (http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/eVGA-e-GeForce-7600-GT-256MB-GDDR3-PCI-E-Video-Card-256-P2-N615-TX/sem/rpsm/oid/194300/catOid/-13043/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do)

I went back today and asked them to do a price check and showed them the printout from their website.

The price scan showed $165.00 a bargain says the sales clerk at a $45 discount. But I say the website shows the exact card for $119. After comparing the specs, the clerk admits they are the same and looks for the item he has in the computer and low and behold its a discontinued old stock part number and they have none of the new ones.

I say can't you sell me the old stock for $119. He says sorry the SKU won't let me. There is nothing I can do about it. The website only is running a special promotion. Sorry; good bye.

Bummer. Still grounded

Looks like Im just going to have to hang in there and grab a New-egg card if BFG doesn't come thru. Looks like I'll have to settle for a 8600GTS.

Retailers anymore will point out that the on line store has nothing to do with the brick and mortar store.
However they will honor the on line price when asked.
If you payed with a credit card I would let CC know you will initiate a charge back if they do not honor the price.

Lets face it. With the 8600's much cheaper, those 7600's are going to sit in the dsiplay case until a store employee most likely pockets them for next to nothing as they are practically obsolete.

Actually the 8600GTS is at Newegg for a cheaper price and better performance. I was hoping get a card at a good price without having to track down UPS. UPS is a hassel for me as I live in an locked apartment complex and have to meet the driver personally to pick up the card.

I can always drive out to Harrtford and pick it up.

Just wanted a non-mail order card. If I have to wait, the 8600GTS is a better option.

I went to Circuit City the other day to find a Blue-Ray player for a Christmas gift, primarily because Best Buy was harder to get to on the left-hand side of the busy street, and obviously it was alot busier at that store. Now I remember why I haven't been to CC in like 5 years, the store sucks ballz. (Not that I am a huge fan of Best Buy). I try to do most of my shopping off New Egg these days.
