View Full Version : Which bomb is best to use on runways?

The readme says that "The lifespan of the crater will depend on the size of the bomb or shell that created it, and may vary from 1 minute 20 seconds to 10 minutes." Now, I'm trying to find a way to disable a runway for atleast a few minutes, but the best I can do is only a minute with 2 1000lb bombs. Which bomb/shell makes a crater which can last up to 10 minutes in this game?

Probably the FAB 5000 or whatever its called, only found on the Pe-8.

After much experimentation, I've come to the conclusion that all craters stay visible and/or effective for not even a minute. Too bad, I was hoping that bombing a runway online would atleast distrupt the enemy team just a little bit. A minute long crater however pretty much goes unnoticed. Something as simple as a longer crater life would give a great purpose to being a bomber on a dogfight server.

I hope that I'm just missing something here. Would love to be able to make a crater stay for up to ten minutes as advertised. Otherwise, what's the point of having craters dangerous at all?

The big guns of the Ki84c leave nice craters too. Though you risk being called a cheat when the enemy thinks you've shot them, rather than realise that they destroyed their plane running into a crater.

I've also taken out fighters trying to attack me from my low 6 with para***s! Pull back Hard and let them go!

Always good for a laugh!
