I just recently bought a Geforce 4 ti4800. I overheard that there are some problems with this type of card. Anyone have anymore information about this. Even more, does anyone use this card, if so how does it run?

The card runs the game smoothly on my machine.

The cards everyone warns about are the Geforce4 MX and not the Ti ones.

Your card is a slightly modified ti 4200, which was one of the best cards nVidia ever made, IMO. IF there are any problems, they should be driver related, which would affect all nvidia cards, not just yours.
You ought to be able to run 2xAA and 4xAF without a hitch.

thanks for the answer guys. Im hoping this new card will run Sh3 better than my radeon 9800 se. Runs a little chunky at times.

The 4800 is either the AGP 8x version of the 4400 or the 4600 and not an upgraded 4200. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

But it will be inferior to the 9800 in raw power.

are you telling me i just bought a crappier card than what i have. I cant believe that. Reason being my friends computer runs HL2 at over 30 frames faster than mine. Same RAM & PROCESSOR. But different video cards...

Also mine goes for 20$ maybe on ebay, my new card went for 80-

Any pros, have any imput? Would appreciate any feedback.

Check out 3dguru or tomshardware, there are more benchmarks than you need. The 9800se is a bit better than a Ti4800, on average.
