lol fish,

My suggestions would be

100x100 avatar size.

Merging of PF+FB General Discussion Forums.

Orr being free to ask questions to the 1c and ubi dev team instead of everything being locked which makes orr a useless place.

Community Manager that watches strictly over the moderators actions like they look over posts. And make them have to fill out a form for a ban and reason why and term of use it broke in a locked thread.

Sig and photo size sould be limited for dialup users like me. I hate having to wait for pages to load because somebody wants to post poster size Photos.

I'm on 56K because I can't get broadband where I live, out in the sticks. Not by choice.

I symphatize with you, because I was 56ker also, but I switched to faster connection early this year.

Heck that would one unique forum. And TBH I would like to see that -- if nothing it would be really interesting. Just ... if I don't win the grand prize. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

Live executions by majority vote. The dialup folk will complain but 1 by 1 that will gradually stop.

I think this is a good idea for a start. That and *reducing* sig picture size (in kb and pixels http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif).

When two people have a dispute, rather than it descending into a slanging match, how about them having a live wrestling match, in a kiddies paddling pool filled with baked beans and blancmange, with the loser having to pay 30 quid to the winner's nominated charity?

Get us a patch which makes Fw outturn a spitfire and zero outdives a corsair. Forums (and servers http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif will be very interesting (for a while at least). http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Well, if people avoided deliberate posting of "bull" and trolling there would be room for related stuff.
I'm not against making a joke or posting some OT in general discussion, but the "bull" tops the forums and get most replies(Too many pages ).
There would be no harm in locking trollposts sooner since they only have negative effects.

Its never going to happen, a dead horse. Community manager has been asked not only by the public but the MODS on this.

It is ment for just that already, But many expect more and take it beyond that and probably cause thier own thread locks themselves. Here below is the forums title, posted by UBI for ORR

UBI Header Note:
Oleg Maddox's Ready Room
This topic area is a place for users to interact directly with IL-2 Sturmovik's creator, Oleg Maddox of 1C. While Oleg would like to interact with everyone and respond to every post, please understand that he is a busy man working on new products. He will attempt to respond as much as possible. Please be patient and understand that your post may go unanswered.

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif Thus the reason he has Mods, so He doesn't have to do all the red tape stuff.
That one there was talking out your keester LS, surely you can see that?

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif I think instead have them eat the Beans and blancmange for loosing it would disturb them more, than a mere 30 quid http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

My sugestions would be

Follow the rules

Treat others as you would like to be

Post less fishing trips

Make OT more in sync with the aviation field

Allow OT freely about Memebers as long as its freendly and editfying for us to all get to know each other better (IE) I just had a baby, got married, I live, bla bla)

And that cool music from the original Star Trek playing in the background - the one that came on whenever there was a duel of some sort.

Release a patch every week...we'll all be so busy that we won't have time to post.

The idea of ban lotto and live executions has merit too!

i am not directly a serious guy, i am really immature http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif so i love "joke" threads but i agree with you F19_Ob, "bull" and trolling should be delt with more harshly

then we eliminate 90% of "where is patch" threads http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

Better still they must get their girlfriends to mud wrestle and post a track here.We then run a poll and the losers' boy friend is banned till his girlfriend can show a better track. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Only one problem I foresee there - a lot of people might have trouble rustling up a woman. Although I do hear that flights to/from Thailand have become a lot cheaper of late http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
