I haven't tried hooking up gamport pedals to my Cougar, but the first thing I would do is go to....Hotas Cougar Control Panel...click on Viewer near the bottom of the page and see if it recognises the rudder movement.

The rudder axis may be locked out by the Control Panel. XP may not see the pedals as its behind the Cougar, but would recognise the rudder axis if enabled in Cougar software.

Also I'm not sure that the CH pedals are compatable with the Cougar rudder port.

Start up and Calibration/Manual Calibration was the way to fix this problem. The pedals had to be added manually...Man they feel weird to a noob.Tell me they will feel more natural after a while!

Check PMs when you connect them you need to un plug the stick the reconnect it as the pedals are not hot pluggable so will not be recognised by XP, but the stick is hot pluggable so unplug and replug into USB..... tried on mine ok http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gifhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

They wont show in the control panel as a standalone as they are an extension of the stick

First make sure that the gameport is active in device manager. You may need to turn it on in the bios. Then install the driver from ch. Here -

Works perfectly for me.

If you or a mate have an old Logitek Wingman joystick lying around - brake it open and remove the main circuit board. Open your gamport pedals and replace the CH circuit board - wiring the pots up to the Wingman board.

You now will have a set of USB pedals. It all fits and functions. I converted a set a year ago and they are still going strong.
