Read this tremendous, true story about a P51 pilot on his first mission.

Both sites are great sites but why is there no link to the 332nd? Were they NOT a part of the 15th Airforce? It never ceases to blow my mind no matter how often I see it(and I see it quite often and not just in military history but in science, exploration, commerce and other venues as well) how a whole segment of the population can be written out of history. It happens more often than most people realize and it's a d@mn shame....
