In this image i would like you to take note of the placement of the number 40 on the speedometer.
This is an actual image from an russian book of instructions for Il2 Pilots.
In the Russian speedometer in the game the number 40 is one notch to far to the right. (At the 350km speedmark).
Please give us feedback to whether you gonna fix this small issue.

Maybe he will fix it after he gives the p40 a fuel gauge that works.

Job is overrated.
Haven't been doing that for three years.
And proud of it.

He might be retired already, kid.

And this is actually a relatively big deal compared to some stuff discussed here...

Strange reactions here. It's minor in the sense that it's easy to fix, but it's not minor in importance (at least not if you fly with speedbar off.) Unlike fuel gauges (which are notoriously unreliable in real world aircraft,) air speed indicators are usually quite accurate and very important (in fact, flying without an accurate one is illegal, at least here it is.)

How about we let Oleg spend his time getting the flight dynamics of each plane right, not trying to get the exact numbers of each gauge right?

It's a two minute job for the bitmap editing, and another 5 minutes to test that it shows up properly in the builds. Add another 10 minutes for correcting a couple of mistakes in the process.

The two minute job is already done (posted in another thread.)

I agree with you on principle that the physics aspects (FM/DM/EM and atmospheric modeling) is more important than most things, but if you look at result achieved in relation to work required, this one comes out as an easy choice.

'I' do not see anything wrong with the request.

However, 'I' do not like the thread title. (But, that's just me.)

Correct, if the title were related to the problem it may attract attention, as it is it looks just like another whine.

Moderator, he mine as well leave the title as is, it is simply another whine. I admit the gauge may be, IN THE SLIGHTEST BIT, incorrect, but it's so rediculously nit picky that I'd rather Oleg spend his time on much more significant problems than this pitiful one.

First off it is called an Airspeed Indicator not Speedometer. It measures ram air from the relative wind not the speed of the plane over the ground.

And this is so nit-picky you should compare what you have to the arcade CFS3. Then come back and give Oleg a hug for making something so much more superior.

Let me be clear about what I said, seeing as how some trolls cannot understand.

Anyone can make a request. The request can be ignored or contemplated by Oleg. His choice.

I can say this with absolute certainty. One thing that is "pitiful" about these forums is when a troll comes into a thread and tries to make others requests unimportant by using a flame tactic.

Also, there are some things more easily 'fixed' than others, simply because they are minor details. Wherher Oleg would consider this a minor detail easily fixable, or not worth worrying about, again, his choice.

I do believe that he would not come in here and call the request "pitiful", or, even accuse the original poster of being "nit-picky". But, then, Oleg is not a troll.

Aside: I do also believe that Fritzkiller trolled the trolls. Haha. (Damn, trolls, get some insight.)

Each details are importants and this one is very important if you don't use the K2000 indicator. So well done to have found this bug! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
