View Full Version : UK only, Track IR 2 free to a good home

I've finally upgraded after using my TIR 2 for many years. I doubt it's worth anything, and I can't bear to throw it away.

If anyone in the UK hasn't tried TIR and wants to, I'll post it to the first person to pm me. I have the TIR unit itself, the installation disk (but you should get the latest TIR2 drivers here http://www.naturalpoint.com/tr...-and-manuals-v3.html (http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/06-support/support-download-software-and-manuals-v3.html)) and a sheet with several reflective dots for sticking to your head/hat/glasses, or whatever you want to track!

The TIR 2 doesn't offer 6 degrees of freedom, but it certainly improves the game.

Completely agree. I've been happy with the TIR2 for several years. I recently started playing OFF, and couldn't get the TIR2 to work with it. Since I can't play a flight sim without TIR, I was forced to upgrade http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I too have a TrackIR2 for the past what.. 5 and a half years? It still works great but with the new TrackIR5 that just came out and all the fancy new games coming out with 6 DOF such as RoF, it might be time to upgrade.

The TrackIR2 still is a great device, I am surprised they are so hard to find on ebay, you think there would be some good deals on them there.

Got my start with TrackIR4. Agreed, once in use, there is no other way to fly anymore. The expirience is like static to fluid in all what you do. You suddenly have a feeling for the position of the enemy and your own plane in a way that makes instant shooting, without even thinking about it, much easier. Dogfights become a lot more dynmaic, your movements in the sky change, its really marvelous.
