I've got IL2 1946, I can't find this expansion pack in there anywhere. Is it part of 1946, if not, I thought 1946 had all the IL2 stuff. I'm especially interested in the Western Europe theatre.

I just heard about BoE as well, does it work with 1946? Might be interested in ordering a copy if it does

Battle over Europe is a paid for add-on that came out in 2004 for the then current version of IL2: IL2 Sturmovik - Forgotten Battles. It is very good and works perfectly with IL2 1946 (for me http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif). If you get it you can then add a lot of excellent user made campaigns for the western front by using the rather wonderful Enjoyr's patches. Go here to find out about Enjoyr's stuff:

Hope this helps,

Its not an official IL2 addon, thats why its not included in 1946.

Course it isn't, it's my favourite theatre, isn't it?

If you only have '46, you might have issues installing it, as it asks for your aces expansion disk.

As i have that, it's no problem for me, and i'm sure there must be a work around????

Theres a few patches for it floating around as well, which are quite good, adding extra dgen campaigns.

I really liked it at the time, there's some really good western front action, especially all the b17 intercepts over Berlin and Normandy.

been out for a good few years now,
