Seems to me the throttle in the Ki-27 is working backwards. My reference (pilot anecdote) clearly states the throttle is pulled back to increase power, not pushed forward

Can anyone shed light on this?<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

im wondering if this fixed propeller is correct.

read it should have a manual controled variable pitch propeller (like the 109s on manual mode) - than the second lever on the throttle quadrant would have propably a sense http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

on the other side, its much easier to fly with a fixed propeller than with a manual one- never liked flying 109s on manual http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Really? Is that true? I thought only Italian and a few French planes used that convention?<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I don't know if it's true, I do know that David Hill flew a Ki-27 and he reported in his book that the throttle was pulled back to open. pushed forward to close, which nearly killed him according to his recollection, because he tried to chop throttle after he started the engine, which of course was actually nearly full power<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

another one:

its speed gauge does not show more than 155knots ! well, to know its speed id needed if you think of its max dive speed of only ~270 knots http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

btw, gauge reading in knots in a japanese Army plane ?? i thought the Army would reag in km/h , at least all others Army planes in game are reading in km/h IIRC ...............
