I just got 1946 and I have two questions.
1. Is there a single player campaign for the Avenger?

2. From all of the campaigns in the game or user made, which ones do you think are the best to get started with as a fighter or bomber?

1. No campaigns for the Avenger.
The Avenger is not flyable, as in there's no cockpit for it. Too bad.

2. Fighter: I have good memories of the in game Finland Fighter campaign. (B-239... )
Bomber? Not so sure, but you can try the Murmansk to Morocco campaign by Bogustogus, featuring the Bf110, in multiple roles, bombing too! Here's a link with more info on M2M: http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/50910533/m/8071074374

Have Fun!

Flying a the Finish B-239 campaign is probaby the best introduction to the game. For bombers, it depends on whether you want to fly dive bombers, level bombers etc., but for introductory flying, early war German He-111s or Ju-88s or late war Il-2 campaign would probably be your best bet.

I agree with the above guys. I found the Finnish B239 campaign an excellent learning curve. If you want a steeper climb try the Romanian IAR80 as its guns are weak and it floats like a sailplane at times. After that experience the Slovak 109 career was ace.
