If you like bombing the opponents air field,
Load out your IL2 with AJ6 Cassettes -
They make GREAT green and purple phosphorus flames and do lots of damage too.
Also napalm is available - I forget the name of the bomb./i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

They also work well against attacking Aircraft, mt record stands at 4 /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif they were all over my 6 each taking a bite of the pie, so i pulled up vertical, slowed to get em close and dropped the lot on em, it was so funny, all four of them blew up hehehe.......lot of "i dont believe it" went on /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Which reminds me -- perhaps you can help. Before this post gets deleted for dissing OM's lame manual, where can we find a description of ordnance for this game?!!

Thanks -- I'll re-login and look for an answer!!

Here's 2 sites that I use;

http://www.mudmovers.com - Click Forgotten Battles tab on the left and then select Loadout Guide on the left.

http://free-st.hinet.hr/dvd/ - Rather a plain site but absolutely brimming with useful information about ammunition loadouts.

Hope this helps.

try releasing them at the top of a roll

Tedious unoriginal philosophical statement the PITH of which is lost in repetition.
