Did you replace them because they were runing hot or because they were noisy.
From 1950 series onwards Ati stock coolers were extremely loud.
I can't imagine my two crossfired 2900 HDs on stock air cooling.
Have you ever concidered a watter cooling?

no i just liked the zalman coolers better..less noise and better cooling.as a side note the zalman's supply memory chipset heatsinks..

i ran water cooling for over a yr ...i liked it but it became a pain in the *** to move things or replace cards and the like ...i won't argue that while on water the cooling was fantastic but i just decided to go with a very large cooler for the cpu"thermaltake big typhoon" as the system is now in the armor case it has lot's of airflow and idles @18-20c and gets up to around 35 underload as for the zalman vga coolers it's too soon to make a accurate report on the temps once i get enough time to give them a good set of runs i'll post a pic of the system... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

I agree on on that, and I don't plan to upgrade anytime soon. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/10.gif
