Hmm i know where he is going with this....

What if you get sliced in the leg/arm ? how would it heal ? would it be like Metal gear solid Snake eater where you gotta get food... Or Tomb raider style when it just goes back up ?

sorry if this post makes no sence ^^ http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif

Of course, this is next gen!

Didn't you read the interview with Jade where she explains the Urinate-alert?

It goes down like this: every glass of water Altair drinks, has to come out (just like in real life). Assuming Altair drinks 1,5 liters a day (which is a healthy dose, aside from the midieval coffee he drinks, double espresso obivously) he has to go to the little boy's room every 2,5 hours while playing (unless he's had too much coffee because as we all know coffee makes a grown man pee twice as much. Just as with beer, only without the alcohol impact).

You should keep an eye on this whilst planning your assassination, because it would really look stupid if Altair pees his pants while running from the guards (white robe wtf).

I can't believe you haven't read that article, it's even on IGN.

Noobie...noobie...my dear, you want a realistic game? Well if he eats then gotta pee too, right? You don't want to hold an assassination just to pee now do you?

If it's realism you want, that means that Altair would get sick, have emotional breakdowns, read very long books on assassination techniques before sleeping in a little hay mattress inside a small barn owned by a farmer who has 2 kids, with whom he would have to lend his attention to, and then they would grow up to be assassins like him and........ Even if an uber-realistic game seems like a good idea, it's not.

If its THAT realistic then screw killing. I'm gonna use altair's fancy tricks to impress the chicks.

Really, who wants to stop the crusade when you could be partying with some nice girls.

Plain and Simple:

Because it would be lame as hell.

told ya! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/agreepost.gif

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/compsmash.gif it's not realistic to heal when you eat food like in those http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gifRPG games... why spens time with your ┬┤wife and serve her a beutiful and romantic dinenr like in a allso http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif dating game?!?

I like the idea of being allowed to eat though make it have no impact what's so ever to the game (no special healing properties no he doesn't get hungry) but let it be there just to mess around with...

I don't like it where they force you to go eat (GTA -_-) but it might be a nice touch if it wasn't a forced part of the game...

and by all means don't waste development time implementing a stupid little easter egg (what's a better word?) but if they do have time why not? y'know

my 2 cents...

now let people bash me for this cause i know ya'll are going to funny how that works out ain't it?

I dont think the getting hungry thing is good because it would make it more of an RPG then an action game, even though there are RPG elements in this game(getting new abilities and such)it would be really annoying too.
Just imagine ur walking through the crowd towards ur target and you get hungry and you start to slow down and your abilities get dimineshed and you cant pull the assassination off? Now woudnt that suck.

making altair get hungry is realistic and all but i really dont him to be able to do that. like you would have to go and eat after every mission, and that isnt what i want to waist my time on.

you all have good points but, if you didn't have to eat unless u went like four days with out doing it it would be a good little extra that i know everyone will try after a while of playing the game!

It is true that putting hunger in the game would make it realistic, but I don't think it would make the game any better. If they did it like in GTA, and made it just for the hell of eating, I wouldn't mind. But if you HAVE to or else you lose abilities and junk that would just piss me off.

Why would you want to put something in the game that isn't fun? Realism has nothing to do with it. Should we make Altair stop his assassinations to take a nap? It would be realistic! Yes, people sleep and eat but it's not what you want to do in a video game. You play a video game to escape reality and be transported to a new world. I can eat and sleep on my own time thank you. Assassinating leaders of the third crusade however, is something I'll leave to Altair.

It could be fun to mess around with again if it's not a forced issue don't force us to eat and sleep but maybe let us eat and sleep if we feel like it...

like in fable you never had to eat or sleep but if you wanted to go find a bed or goto the nearest bar and have a drink (getting drunk was always fun http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif) or go murder innocent people and buy their houses!

ya i agree but if your gonna add hunger add it all. you should be able to get married and have kids and have a "wife meter" and once a month for a week you cant do assassinations because of PMS. you have to spend the entire week cooking for her and and cleaning up the house till the "wife meter" comes back up.

now how much fun would a totally realistic game be?

okay again you all have good points but i'm just saying that if you would really like to feel realistic then why not add some good e.eggs! but doing things on my own time...what do you think you're when you play video game you're using your free time but i understand where you're coming from!! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

well as a pop vet i notice tons of similar animations from pop to Altair. but Altairs animations are far more vast being hhe is next gen.

yea he is flipping around like prince of persia but that is the only similarity that i see even then it's more realistic then the prince of persia games (probably can't run along a wall for 30 steps like the prince can)

silverbow432
03-03-2007, 10:19 AM
the similarities between pop n altiar is that they both have a type of mystery to them n i pretty sure that altiar might be able to run along a wall for 30 or more steps!!!

RetiredHatch

I don't think Altair is Ever going to run 30 steps if they want to keep it realistic -_- this was discussed in another thread keep to the topic at hand...

........LOL thats totally true im sitting on the computer alone and i laughed out loud cant tell if its the sarcasm or truth.......

But on the subject i agree with that u can go 2-3 days before having to eat but bathroom breaks should be implimented but not every 5 minutes like old man rivers!!! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/clap.gif
