Actually , RBJ may want a 1vs1 with you. You just have to PM him. That will do the trick.

If he is reading he can PM me and arrange it.

I'm really curious to see how good he is and I'll definitely record such track.

P.S. Of course I am not saying that I'm better than him or anyone else, but just because I did it once with a guy I really enjoy it and I'm looking forward to some kind of a 1vs1 competition.

That's a great idea! Someone (Ubi, you listening?) should definitely make a 1vs1 competition. Maybe with different classes: A LW class with a fixed plane a ditto VVS class and a free-for-all. (Ubi, you still listening: Throw in a couple of LOMACs for the winner).

Or maybe some intrepid squadron/individual out there will take up the challenge? Throw in competition fees through paypal and make it real prizes like sizzling $$$ and we may have started a tradition. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

I agree too that it would be fantastic to have such a competition. We do have 3 very good online wars (VEF, VOW and IRON SKIES) that I'm aware of. But all these are for teams.

A 1vs1 competition would be something different. It could be like a league with prearranged matches and rounds. Until we get the champion (not me for sure :-)).

Is anyone interested in this?
If yes just bump to see if we can work it out and give any ideas of the way it should work.

Thanks

Hehehehe, that would heat up a bit the things around here. I heard that there was a competition like that , but for IL2, lost the link though.

I don't have the time, the server or the bandwidth to host such a competition - else I would. And I don't have the skills to win it. But it could be fun to watch - especially the tracks of the finals and semifinals. Someone out there should really run with this idea. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

More competition; bragging rights; getting to see tracks of df between top cyper-pilots!

I think Jane's Simulations used to have something similar but I am up for this 100%!

We are kicking the idea around of a IL-2 Sturmovik Forgotten Battles ladder at The Combat Zone.

Anyone here interested, stop on by.. join our forum and get a thread going. The Interest from the people who wish to FLY, is exactly what we need to ignite the fire of getting this ladder off the ground and in the air!

www.thecombatzone.net (http://www.thecombatzone.net)

I know I have a team itchin to fly there. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

in fact...

We have the beginnings of the ladder started.

here...

There are NO rules posted, and no one can do anything yet on this page.. But it's a sure sign, that we are working for the community!

Again, I ask that anyone interested in flying, come join our forum. And lets begin hashing out the rules. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Because dueling isn't the same as team flying. Flying as a team is better than flying alone - plus with dueling your plane choices are limited because many fighters will only work as a team.

Still... Sounds like fun!

????? if they are in a DF room for a 1v1 & all planes are selectable then there isnt ant restriction

btw to find out if you are better or not BOTH should fly the same plane & BOTH should takeoff at the same time

whiners will never quit otherwise
