View Full Version : Does anyone else think the camera could be improved?

Currently, looking around as you run/walk is a frustrating ordeal because when you finally get the direction of looking that you want (eg: looking up when climbing up a building), you have to constantly hold the right analog stick forwards (or backwards depending on your settings) to look in that direction.

That's okay if you're on the ground walking or running but when you're climbing and you need to use that new move (the one that makes you jump up to a higher ledge while climbing on a building) means that the camera will snap back to facing forwards, in this case, a wall/windows/whatever else there is on a building making me have to reorient the camera angle to be able to see just where exactly I'm going.

the developers should implement an MGS4-style camera which locks the camera orientation to any direction you want to look at.

for instance, when i walk around an epic vista, i want to be able to look at it while walking around it but sadly what i need to make that happen in the game is struggle with the right analog stick to maintain aforementioned epic vista in focus.

this is also a problem when i want to check my surroundings while pickpocketing. currently the only direction i can look at while holding down the pickpocket button is forwards (unless i have an extra thumb).

not having the freedom to look left or right while pickpocketing is quite unnatural.

in fact this is one of the major problems of this game. clunky camera controls.

mgs4-style locked orientation is the way to go. please have this issue looked at please.

I agree, the same problem occurs when you are riding down or up a hill, the camera is pointing down the ground and you have to steer the stick yourself preventing you from galloping.
