Please, widescreen 1680 x 1050 and Nvidia GTX 880 768 mb in the next patch. Thanks.
How are the best config.ini and nvidia setting for that, now?

You can do wide screen.

Sample part of the ini

[window]
width=1680
height=1050
ColourBits=32
DepthBits=24
StencilBits=8
ChangeScreenRes=1
FullScreen=1
DrawIfNotFocused=0
EnableResize=0
EnableClose=1
SaveAspect=0
Use3Renders=0

Hello,

Does Widescreen in IL2 still mean that you'll get a cropped FOV (Field of View)??

Have this been patched?!

Thanks,
dreyer

the top and bottom are cropped a bit, but if you have a Track IR, you won't notice it.

quick question on this, I have a widescreen monitor but have never change the code like you suggest above, does it make a big difference if I do?

I don't like the bars on the left and right side of the screen. It's really a personal choice.

Ditto. With TIR, the slight loss of a small bit at the top and bottom is moot to me and having a larger image that fills my entire screen is exponentially better.

@ HART-dreyer, true widescreen support will never be coded into IL2. We'll need to wait for next-gen sim titles for that. Suxxorz, but that's the truth.

I second this. Manually putting in the widescreen resolution in the conf.ini is the way to go. That and a TrackIR is FANTASTIC!!!
