I didn't want this lost in the off topic forum (may get moved there but I can't help that).

The movie looks as good as the sim but it's not taken from that because the sounds are too good. The ending, well watch it.

Set aside 10 minutes for it.

I enjoyed it immensely.

Superb - and something I didn't know about the war, which is surprising since I've studied it nearly 40 years.

Yes its astonishing the amount of activity in neutral Ireland during the war.I think there were literally HUNDREDS of allied and axis planes crashed here.Hitler sent an irish woman a medal for pulling a crewmember out of a burning bomber !The 'prison camp' where the allied and axis aircrew were 'interned' has a museum which includes a logbook in which the inmates were allowed 'sign out' "on their honour as officers and gentlemen " that they would only go to the local pub or dance and not keep heading for home !Of course many of the allied aircrew headed to Northern Ireland and 'freedom' often with a VERY blind eye turned!

For something a LOT less arty there's always this

Not brain straining by any means but Jean Butler DOES is easy on the eye in it .

I am insanely disappointed that there isnt 2+ more hours of that!

That was great, I wished there was more to it. I am so disenchanted with the movies of today. That was a refreshing bit of fresh air...

+100 on that. Man talk about movicus-interuptus.! I wonder if this short was made as a promo to get funding for a full fledged film. I figure all three countries England, Ireland and Germany would like to see a good adventures/escape/action film based upon this premise. Hell I know I would. Thanks for showing the whole thing.

The dogfight footage had to be some of the most realistic ever. They need to show this to any surviving WW2 pilots and see what they think.

Not bad.. quiet gripping ground stuff. The air battle was more 'arty'.

Not sure what happenned to pilots heads nowdays.. they've either shrunk or a/c pits have got very large http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I'm not sure whether it's the Brylcreem boys, but the movie I saw had the gemans and allied soldiers interned in the same camp, but their compounds were seperated by wire fence 5 feet apart.. where the irish guards watched with amusement as the 'pack of dogs' snarled at each other across this gap - it was funny.

In the end (after about a year of internment) the allied and german overpower a guard to get his gun and the one with the gun turns to shoot the other and 'click.. click ..click'. The furious allied airman looks into the chamber to see no bullets, and scowls at the guard, who replies - 'None of our guns have bullets'. The two pilots nearly cried, and went on their merry way.

A nice twist http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
