It could all be a big mistake and BOB is not an Flight simulator but a Train simulator?

Take a look at some more the pictures in this link
http://www.airwarfare.com/Sims/IL2BOB/updates_rail.htm

If you see these pictures what do you think?
Or is the BOB terrain quality going to be this high?

These objects were modeled by a German member of the community with vast knowledge, and passion, for railways. This is semi old news actually. Most of the objects won't be in te sim till it visits the ETO at some time in the future.

They do point to the level of detail we can expect in BoB.

Personally I think we are all going to be shocked when we see it for the first time.

Trains didn't play a big part in BoB. Personally I like to see accurately modelled deck chairs. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

We need big red busses. Without their big red busses, the British wouldn't have stood a chance in the Battle . . .

Definitely have to wait till its out b4 buying/building a better machine to handle it.

Dual processors, quad vid cards. $$$$$

While big expensive processors will probably enhance the experience...it shouldn't be necessary. I'm sure if you bought a very good system now it'll run BoB decently well.

On the other hand, a good system bought now will not be as fast as a good system bought later.

i'm sure my computer will run it fine (details in SIG), but where are you getting this information from?? As someone's already said maybe we will get high detailed terrain, which might be the case because some people have asked about this. 2nd of all in BoB i would like to see things like high detailed dover coast with the masts, and hopefully your plane crashes if you go through the wires and not straight through. I think it's best to wait until it comes out and to take your mind off it go play some pacific fighters http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

That's just it isn't it? My current rig is 2 yr old. Processor seems to be slightly heat-damaged and the board won't allow much of an upgrade to justify the cost (2400+ to a 3200+, IF I could find one).

I can still play. I can wait.

"rolling stock" is strafing target stock for BoB P-51 & P-47 - both "bonus" planes included in the Region 1 DVD.
