View Full Version : Piper Cub anyone?

I know this has come up before... I figured I'd keep it alive! The cub is definitely a must for BoB, at some point if not in the initial release. Furthermore it'd be a great tribute to GA and was used in pretty much every theater of the war.

Though I have to ask... were any ever claimed as air to air kills? Given it is hard to spot but it would ripe for the picking for any roving enemy fighters... I know one of the last kills of the war was a credited to a Cub pilot with a pistol that forced down a Storch, but thats all a I got for combat...

Be as it may here's some sweet @ss pictures...

I think there should be several L-Birds included in BoB. Problem is, American Planes are a problem.

If nothing else the Harvard Mk 1 deserves a place in SoW: BoB. Only used for training of course but vital for all that.

Well, there was the AUSTER III,IV, and V. It was a version of the Taylorcraft.

It just so happens that this was what the REAL Raf 662 flew in WWII.

I can't see the pictures...

I think we're getting a Tiger Moth. That'll do the same job, more-or-less. Pottering around at treetop height and 80mph. It's to have dual controls, so two human pilots can fly it online in the same flight, for training...

It would be great to have a couple of unarmed aircraft in SoW:BoB. The Tiger Moth is one. A transport of some sort would be great too - not sure if the RAF used Dakotas in 1939/40 though. The Ju52/3m though, that'd be good...
