View Full Version : Controls: Problem with step, offensive move

I got a problem with the Step move when in combat. It says that you can make a step in different directions depending how you hold the left analog stick. The problem is that for me that Altair only steps forward, no matter how I hold or push the stick (backwards for example) when I push the A button. Is this a bug or am I just stupid? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

Thanks for help

I'm also seeing that. Maybe it always steps toward your target, so you have to change targets? Dunno.

you earn the sidestep later after the (i think) fourth assassination. sorry if i spoiled it for you but you asked why. also, if you've already earned it, you can only do it when they attack (like a counter).

hmm yea but that is the dodge ability you mean I think, I mean the Step, It doesn't say you need rank to get it. It says in the Instruction manual and in the tutorial that you should be able to step in the direction you hold the left analog stick.

Altair steps towards whoever you are focusing on. For instance, if you're focusing on the guard in front of you, he will step forward. If you're focusing on the guard to your left or right, you'll step in that direction. A good way to use this is moving the camera around while taking cover from the guards. As you rotate the camera around you'll begin to focus on others that surround you. May take a couple brawls to get used to.
