Gents,
My first post here! I'm chocking up...

Got 1946 installed, and went to try some cv landings in my favorite bird, the Hog -1D. Ran a landing fine, trapped #2 wire. No big problem.

However, after trapping, I hit the ESCAPE key to exit, and found I couldn't exit! Finally had to Task Manager my way out.

What am I missing? I've looked at several of the config files, noticed there is no ESCAPE=ACTIVATE key in 4.07 like there is in 4.04. While I did add that to several different files at differeing times, they either froze the game or didn't affect anything.

Any pointers welcome. Thanks.

I've only experienced issues with the map engaged. Other than that, escape works as it should.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Rename conf.ini in 407 install to something else. Take your conf.ini file from 4.04 and put it in 407 install. You pretty much answered your question... that line should be in there.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I've also had the same thing happen to me on occasion, although in my case it's probably caused by an old and cluttered windows install that needs to be restarted quite often to run well.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Ivan,

Thanks for the pointer. I did it, it works, and everything is peachy.

OTOH, when I upgraded to 4.071m yesterday I had to do it again. Still works, though. Thought you'd like to know.

Glad i could help http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I always have a backup of conf.ini and users folder. That`s besides missions and skins. Comes in handy http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Patches and especially new installs can overwrite your stuff before you know it http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
