Ok so I buy the game. I get home to install. I only see 2 discs.

I take it back.

I buy a different copy at a different location because I had purchased the last copy.

I get home to install the new copy and open teh box. 2 disc.

Is there any instructions or anything included in this box?

Disc 1 is the game. Disc2 contains promotional extras and stuff about SoW:BoB.

The manual is on Disc 1 in PDF format.

There isn't a hardcopy manual in the pack.

Hope that clarifies. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The manual should also be in the main game folder. Look for it in your 'programs' or 'program files', then under Ubi Soft.

I understand that in some places (Canada?) the bonus DVD isn't included, and the box only has one disc.

Don't be confused by the blurbs on the box that say "all-new content plus the entire IL-2 collection" and "five games in one." It all installs as one game, the latest version of Forgotten Battles with all the 'merged' expansions. Also, the back cover says that the "bonus disc contain: 4 Previous IL-2 games - the complete collection." This is incorrect; the bonus disc only has videos showing the developers in action, updates on Storm of War progress, user-made aerial demonstrations using IL-2, etc.

As was said before, look in your 1946 folder after you install the game and you should find a player's manual, a key reference card, an aircraft manual, and some read-me documents. You're better off reading the community FAQ and asking questions in these forums until you get the hang of things, IMO. Check my signature for the FAQ link. Also, look here for help getting started: link (http://www.simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2163129&page=1#Post2163129). Also look at Bearcat99's 'Nugget' thread that is stickied at the top of this forum.

Thanks

I just like to have hard copies. But seeings how the game is anywhere from $10-$30 cheeper then most I can understand why there were no hard copies.
