I am in the middle of making an online campaign and need to know if it is possible for a j8A to take off from a cve and land on one. I have been able to get it off a cv and bring it back but have yet to try a cve. any help someone can give would be greatly appreciated.

thank you all

J8A starts to produce lift and gets airborne as low as 100KMH. Ive got it up at 80KMH

You'd better be able to get the Gladiator off the carrier, or turn in your joystick http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
Haha in all actuality, you should be able to get it up no problem.

Landing it will be a different story as you will not have a tail hook, but you should be able to go slow enough to drop it on the deck and possibly slow down before falling off the end. It may take a little practice.

I've successfully landed a Spit Mk VIII CW on a carrier, but after ten or so tries. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Landing shouldn't be too big a problem after you've tried it out once or twice. A bipe with flaps slows down very nicely.

Just don't do it from anything other than from the HMS Illustrious (for history's sake).

You havent really been in the FB 3.0 Twilight Zone untill you have taken off of a carrier moving at 140mph in a P-80 or a Me262... its like a Harrier...... straight up!!!

Does the Glad have Breaks?
I want to start a petition to rename the Gladiator Henry...
I like that name...

"Official 'Change the Glad's name to Henry Whiner"

How 'bout "Gladiola"?

I've nearly gotten an A-20 to stop on a CV (nearly--needed about one more plane length of deck); so I'd imagine a Gladiola, coming in so slow, could do it.

The AI Gladiators are able to take off AND LAND on carriers. This opens up some interesting possibilities for Mediterranean scenarios... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
