Voice over NTRK is straight forward. It uses the Internal comms engine. So First enable this in the Audio properties.

1. Hardware Setup
2. Sound Setup
3. Radio
4. Voice Comms
5. Press to Talk

I suggest using PTT rather than voice activated, Pick a press to Talk key by setting it in your Config.ini, If you use TS or other Comms software pick the same key.

Next setup a Multiplay mission.
Enable in built comms by selecting the Chat window and entering a "." (thats a Full Stop)
Choose a channel. ALL or Own Army
Start recording the NTRK
Talk away after pressing PTT.
Stop the NTRK.

Voila Sound over NTRK. The quality varies from PC to PC its not perfect but it is useable, and a great way to make Demos etc.

yeah, long ago, I was struggling to get the in-game comms working for the same reason

I really wonder, why the default setting isn't always "MY_ARMY"

who else would I like to talk to? to myself? to the enemy?

by the way: in the PF manual, there is way (console command) to increase the quality of the recorded sound, allowing higher bandwidth (800 bit/s --> 8000 bit/s)
