There's a movie supposedly about the artic war that's available here in Japan called Œ"¥µœ¯"µˆ¦ 1944 (Artic Circle Naval War 1944). I thought about renting it but it's in Russian with Japanese subtitles. I hate watching subtitled movies with a lot of technical, political or military jargon in them as I spend most of my time pausing the film to look up a kanji character that I don't know.

Has anyone seen the film? The English title is Torpedo Bombers.

I have it in Russian, not sure if there is an English version.
Pretty good movie, though I wouldn't say spectacular. The aerial sequences were a little cheesy [edit: just realized it was made in 1983.. that might have something to do with it :P ]I thought, but it tells a good enough story.
