Excellent book. I'm towards the end of it now. It's the first BOB that I've read that really goes in debth about how a typical RAF pilot came into flying and fighting in the conflict (ie goest into socio-economic backgrounds). I also enjoyed the pilot accounts and how much of a factor fatigue came into play. Other nuggets talk about RAF pilots being thrown into life or death combat with 15 or less of actual stick time. The were desparate time. Great book.

Agreed. An excellent book for Battle of Britain buffs.

Anyone tried "A Question of Honour" about the RAF's all-Polish 303 squadron?

My current read. Excellent book. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif
Good comparisions between the offerings
of the Hurricane and Spitfire.

It even taught me how to get out of a spin
in a spitfire in game. Stick full foward
opposite rudder. Job done http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif
