Sorry no pics, got too excited in managing the boat - but had to tell you http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif

Usual convoy setup.. Out in front, slow aft, slow forward to position myself far away enough from the front escort, on the one side.
Convoy approaching long distance,.. closer.
silent running, stop engines, pscope depth.
Get sound-guy to monitor front escort. ccasional scope up to waterline to have a quick peek.

'Kriegsboot 320...330...345...360...5...45' as it moseys on pass. I could have reached out and touched it. Whoopee it gone passed. time to look at the merchant ships. Scope to waterline once again...
'Kriegsboot ..40 approaching FAST'. S.h1.t, dammit swing scope around and there the mother comes full blast. Scope down ..wait.
'Kriegsboot ..approaching SLOW....24....24....24....24....25' Phew great he's turning. Peek ~ 250m away.
'Kriegsboot ..approaching SLOW....25....26....27' Nice doggie go away now... 'PINGGGGGGGGG' @##%@#$%%%^

'ALARM ALARM ALARM !! CRASH DIVE CRASH DIVE'

'Kriegsboot ..56 approaching'
'Depth 30..40..50.......100, Kaleun we must level out now'
'Depth Charges Kaleun'
'NEIN! continue..'
'Kriegsboot ..80 approaching'
'Depth 130..140, Kaleun ???'
BOOM...BOOM...BOOM...BOOM... Boat shakes like a rag doll. check for damage.. None ???
'LEVEL Boat'
'Depth 160..170'
'1/3 ahead Depth 95m, Blow emergency'

Depth stablised at 175m, brought her slowly back to 150, and headed directly into the convoy. I definitely caused this front escort to ram one of the rear merchants as it sounded sick and just sat there pinging me for ages. I managed to get awy with minor interference from the other escorts.

I'll make one more attack to check whether the front escort is gone. If it is, I'm going to have a 'happy time' at this is a SW bound, SLOW convoy, already at the limit of air cover.

Sometimes when they see you they don't go for you right away.

You might have been too close to him when he passed you.

Your crew are pussies, you can go deeper then they will want you to.

I won't spoil it for you and tell you exactly how deep each sub can go (I do know) I will tell you this, if you are not damaged there is no time limit at any depth. You can either make it or not. If you are at a depth and are not slowly taking damage (hearing bulbs pop) you can stay that deep as long as you want.

Once you start taking damage, things change.

I only go as far as I need to. I have been DC'ed down further. I have a feeling I taken Hull damage here but have no idea how much, so I'm not pushing it as I'm having problems trimming at greater depths.

I added some extra words to make it 'more interesting' - [Kaleuns License]
