We've been told that BOB will be launched in 2005 but with half the year gone I still have not seen an official BOB website. What gives?
Isn't it time UBI or Maddox start creating some market interest in this product?

Still hoping and looking forward to some friday updates on BOB to start reappearing.

Yeah, I honestly dont think it'll be out for another year and a half. But of course that's just speculation http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif. I think the PF release date really surprised us all, but everything else by MG has been pushed back (and rightfully so!) so I dont think we'll be seeing it anytime soon. I'd REALLY love to see some updates however, especially of my beloved 109 cockpit. Please Oleg? You gave us the spitfire cockpit to view...how about the 109's? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Back in December somebody posted a pre-order link from amazon.com that actually said June 2005. I'm not whining, with PF just released and the patch whining starting (at the time) everyone pretty much assumed it was bogus. Perhaps Ubi just threw them a date so people would be interested.

I'm calling for Q3 2006 for the release of BoB.

There was a Vietnam Heli sim shown at E3 by a Russian producer but I don't think Oleg has anything to do with it.

AFAIK the Nam chopper sim is by other people, simply published by UBI, I may be wrong.... I'd like to have a bash at being a Vietnam helicopter jock (I've just read 'Snake Pilot' by Randy Zahn - A highly recommended book, I already handed it on to a fellow simmer, spreading the wealth!). Personally though I'd prefer BoB......Or to be honest, I really liked the 'forgotten' elements of much of the Eastern Front stuff, I could name most of the aircraft but I had no idea how they performed against the German machines, that's what fascinated me and drew me in. I always had a thing for obscure aircraft battling it out over exotic lands. Being a Brit, the Battle of Britain, though perhaps one of the most exciting and fascinating chapters in British History, is very well known to those of us who live here, there're a few new books published every year, even now, on the subject and I've read so many I feel like I know some of the pilots better than my Mum and the colour of the socks they were wearing on a certain day. The plot holds few surprises, in short, we are saturated with it, fascinated, but still saturated. Alas, there are already sims about the Battle of Britain (one of my first 'flight sims', (straight line green below, blue above, rudimentary "cockpit") was 'Spitfire 40' on the C64. Don't get me wrong, my Granny built Spitfires and nobody loves Spits, Hurris, Stukas, 111's, Flying Pencils and 109E's more than me but..... Personally I'd have given my teeth for a Spanish Civil War Sim for starters and then the invasion of Poland and then the invasion of France and the Low Countries with the entire Second World War following chronologically onwards. Were I possessing of Oleg and Co's skill and talent then I too would be busting a gut to make this reality. My Girlfriend's late Grandfather was a transport truck driver for the Kondor Legion in Spain and I had the privilege of looking through his photo collection and award documents in Germany at Christmas, it was the picture of the Lockheed Orion and the Breguet 19 that really got to me, all cammo'd up and ready for battle, rare birds and forgotten skies will always draw me in more than the familiar! My only fear is that with the speed of PC development and if done chronologically, the 'WW11 entire air war' sim will start to look dated before Pearl Harbour. Time will tell, I'd play it all if it was even as good as what we have now! Sorry to waffle, thirty six hours without sleep and a bottle of red!

1C is a russian developer/publisher which Maddox Games (Oleg's company) is contracted to.

In simple terms 1C (=not) Maddox Games.

Last time I read (ok, long time ago) was latter half of 2005.
In that case, will GMX BoB2:WoV have bad FM/DM, bad everythin? Me wants GB and France map http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif
