Flying the Ohka? AFAIK it'll be AI only.

G4M2 and MX7Y are AI only in the 3.05beta and are not planned to be flyable in the 4.0, as far as I know.

That is a real shame. They would be very interesting to use online.

Whats the point in flying a suecide rocket bomb?

If the G4M/Ohka combo is flyable, the challenge would be to penetrate the masses of US fighters reach launching distance before switching to the Ohka pit for the launch and final run. It'd take a lot of skill and luck to get in close enough and the red team would be very hard pressed to protect their fleet.

Of course if you just want a high score there is always the fighter escort but a Kamikaze dosent fly for points http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Since we're supposed to be getting a flyable Betty, this would be a neat 'extra' flyable plane (the mother ship, not the Ohka).

Would an Ohka campaign be an oxymoron? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

We need Flyable G4M2 !!!

We don't need Ohka. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

Aw c'mon it'd be ground breaking. If we did get it though, you'd need a new Ground Control mode for at least one volunteer red member to spawn with no aircraft and all aircraft visible on their map screen. Using chat screen or TS they could then direct CAP fighters to intercept incomming aircraft http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif.

G4M2 will never happen though. You'd need to model all the turrets and revised nose section and bombay etc. Oleg hates spending time on multi position AC so my money is on no-go http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif

And for the G4M2 Ohka carrier they would also have to program the air-to-surface radar, which is even less possible. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
And in hypotetical case, the G4M2+MX7Y would be flyable, they most likely would operate similary to the TB-3 Zveno. In other words, they would require at least 2 players on-line, while offline you wouldn't be able to switch between the planes.
