.....the travel distance of the top of a WW2 fighter yoke.

Ok, share the info please. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I've often thought of building my own stick and my idea is to have more travel distance at the top than what a j-stick allows. This should make for more accurate control, especially when aiming.

I can't resist........... probably about 300 miles dependant on the fuel load, but then again it will be the same for the prop, spinner, wings, wheels, pilot and tailplane too....... but the bullets don't go as far as they get dropped off on the way.....

hehehehehe.... see my other reply

Hi Moses,

that's what I had planned for my x45. I ended up giving the stick away cause the it was just too small for my hand. I took it apart to look at the possibilities of modification but in the end I figured it just wasn't worth it. I never liked the stick, especially the throttle.

The only stick I've liked so far is the Cyborg 3Dgold. It suits my hand perfectly but I keep breaking the triggers. That doesn't bother me so much since it's only 20 euros here. It's disposable. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Hi JW,

that's quite a project. If I went that far I'd continue until I had the finished plane. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I can understand why people try to create equipment with physical accuracy but at the same time I think it's illogical, unless you can put 9 monitors around your head. If I build a cockpit it won't look like the real one but will give me the kind of control opportunities the real pilot had and will be relative to my reality, a pc game.

Hi Tigertalon,

now, will the real TT please stand up. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I often get you guys confused but it's even funnier when you get you guys confused. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Hi TT (Talortony),

I'm guessing the range would be about 1.5 feet max.

And to your second post,..... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/mockface.gif
