Whats your favorite user made campaign? The one you would highly recommend to one that is looking...

That is a very difficult question to answer. What kind of aircraft do you like to fly? Fighters? Bombers?

Do you like a good story or short breifings?

Historical or fictional missions?

A lot of people like my stuff (see below). Straight Shot and Straight Down will work with PF alone; the others require a merged install.

Dubbo has a great campaign in Castaways. BirdBrain's Cactus Diary is also excellent.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

My Campaigns:
Straight Shot (9 missions in the Japanese Seaplane - A6M2-N "Rufe")
Straight Into an Icy Hell (14 missions for the Rufe in the Aleutians)
Straight Down (26 dive-bombing missions in a carrier-based SBD-3)
Straight Down Some More (19 more missions in a carrier-based SBD-3)
Straight and True (30 torpedo bomber missions in an IL-2T)

It doesnt matter to me wether fighter or bomber. Well, actually, I dont want a level bombing bomber, but an A-20 would be cool, or the dive bombers.

I also like the good story ones. I played Cactus diary (accidently deleted my pilot, so I didnt complete it). I liked how there was a story and how you had to do everything -Training, landing at the new airfield, etc. etc.

Historical or fiction doesnt matter, as long as the fiction isnt way too far out there.

I was playing the Kondor Legion (again, accidently delted my pilot) and I liked the "side missions" it had - Buzzing hitler, patroling the mountains for smugglers.

Are there any other ones? I also like the ones that "have a lot going on". Like a bunch of other planes doing their own little missions, vehicles moving around, (like the kondor one and the cactus one).

I tried to do a search, but it's hard to pin point all those specifics.

Thanks!

PS Kudos to the creators of those two campaigns!

Murmansk to Morocco (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/50910533/m/8071074374)

Piloting the Bf110, you get to do all kinds of different stuff in different conditions.

(I recently tested this one for Bogustogus. That's why it's currently my favorite.
And that I really like the 110...

Before that one, it was ... well another one, before that, yet another one ... Straight and True being one of 'm... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif)

I like anything by Icefire. His campaigns and missions do a great job of immersing you in the action. A lot of his missions have various "side missions" or at least unrelated flights of aircraft doing something while you go about your task which adds the realism. His briefings are also excellent. All of his missions tend to be well balanced and fun.

I also thought When Tigers Could Fly by Chuck_Older was a fantastic campaign. A lot of research, planning and hard work obviously went into that one.

FoolTrottel,

When did you play Straight and True? I wrote that several years ago and I am curious as to how the palyability has held up under all the add-ons.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I forgot where i found them but there are a bunch....

they are (and i cant remember the exact titles either) all historically based campaigns, which are about 20-30 missions long..

there is one based in malta, north africa, the BoB, i know that one was called "when tigers could fly"..

all of them had awesome intro tracks and the missions were real detailed and a lot of fun to do.

too bad i dont know i if i backed up the files when the 'puter had its brain fart...<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I totally enjoyed BirdBrain´s "Cactus Diary" and Chuck Older´s "When Tigers Could Fly". Both are totally immersive, have a plot and totally historical backgrounds. Finished both in a few days always interested in what was going to happen next. Like when reading a good book.

After those, Extreme One and Poymando´s "Battle Over Britain" was excellent as well.

And know I`m enjoying the Seelow Heights Do335 campaing. Fun to fly against totally overwhelming odds in such desperate times. And the Pfeil is fun fun fun times 10.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Thanks.

I am doing the Murmask to Morroco campaign now. So far so good. But I'll have to check out those other campaigns.

Me thinks it held up okay... though instructing the AI to attack a certain target when you want it... is a bit of a challenge http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

But, there's always Refly, and thus a retry...

Me thinks there was one mission that after 4.0x's FM changes needed some adjustments in a flight's heights... they tended to crash into a hill...
