The rules are quite simple. You just post something nice about the previous poster.

If you can't think of something nice to say, then a picture will suffice.

If you can't think of either, then go in peace, we'll still love you.

Have a flower while you think about it.

I find it weird that in something that looks like a beutiful pearl something like nuclear armegeddon could take place. It looks totally tranquil from space, when its anything but.

And death shall have no dominion

And death shall have no dominion.
Dead men naked they shall be one
With the man in the wind and the west moon;
When their bones are picked clean and the clean bones gone,
They shall have stars at elbow and foot;
Though they go mad they shall be sane,
Though they sink through the sea they shall rise again;
Though lovers be lost love shall not;
And death shall have no dominion.

And death shall have no dominion.
Under the windings of the sea
They lying long shall not die windily;
Twisting on racks when sinews give way,
Strapped to a wheel, yet they shall not break;
Faith in their hands shall snap in two,
And the unicorn evils run them through;
Split all ends up they shan't crack;
And death shall have no dominion.

And death shall have no dominion.
No more may gulls cry at their ears
Or waves break loud on the seashores;
Where blew a flower may a flower no more
Lift its head to the blows of the rain;
Though they be mad and dead as nails,
Heads of the characters hammer through daisies;
Break in the sun till the sun breaks down,
And death shall have no dominion.

Babes and Chinese, now that's a plan!

When I was living in London, I dined at the estimable Khan's for Indian one night with a fellow Yank and two British friends, a couple. We gave them a display of Yank humor that night which they will never forget. Towards the end of the gorge, I asked Brad, the Yank, what were the odd tubular items I had been eating with gusto along with the known stuff. He looked at me blankly and said "sheep d--ks." At first I almost believed him, but I knew better. On the other hand, the comic possibilities were excellent.

I pretended to choke, "sheep d--ks?" "That's right," said Brad blandly. "What is this called?" I asked pretending to be dizzy. "Lamb bhutti [spelling?]" replied Brad. "I've been joyfully eating sheep cranks?" I groaned. "Yep" said Brad. We were starting to crack up. The English couple was looking sour. Unwilling to enter in to this Yank phallic obsession, they uneasily kept mum while we endlessly ruminated on the meaning of sheep d--k Indian-style. In the cab on the way back, we were still nuturing this barbarity, now whilst tittering like schoolboys, guffawing, and casting pleased glances at Alan and Jill who were now clearly appalled beyond reclamation.

Awww stink ok then.

Anyway it is a little known fact that Father Christmas actually comes from Fiordland in New Zealand, and does not have reideer as usually thought, but sheep. Here is my proofs.

http://imagecache2.allposters.com/images/pic/APP/RS0109~Insomniac-Sheep-Posters.jpg

Rudolf and a couple of the others were down with flystrike when this photo was taken, and couldn't be present however.

I still find evil sheep more exciting though. They are still angry about the truly aweful sheep jokes, but I think I can calm them down http://media.ubi.com/us/forum_images/gf-glomp.gif

Anyway, Father Christmas sends his wishes of peace love and understanding to the IL2 Community, and says that his 'sleigh' is more overmodelled than the spitfire in case you want to try anything. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

EDIT:Video below - and its omgwtfontopic! Think of it as my peace offering after posting about very naughty sheep who do not fully encompass the meaning of peace love and understanding.

SQUIRRELS IN A CLAY POT

If your local A&P has run out of squirrel this week, just come to my porch and bring your shotgun. There is enough for all!

1 t. ground savory
1 t. dried marjoram
1 t. dried thyme
1 T. coarse salt
Freshly ground pepper
2 squirrels (about 1 lb. each), cut into 8 to 10 pieces each
2 large onions, chopped
3 oz. country ham with some fat, cut into strips
1 T. sweet butter
1/3 C. red wine

Preheat oven to 450 F. Crush herbs together along with coarse salt and add about 8 turns of pepper grinder, then rub pieces of squirrel thoroughly with mixture. [Ewww!] Place onion in the bottom of a pre-soaked 4-quart clay pot, put squirrel pieces on top, and then strew ham strips over. Dot with butter and cover with the clay top. Bake for 1 hour and 40 minutes. Remove and add wine, then bake, covered, for a final 20 minutes. Makes 3 to 4 servings.

He's called Pluto and he came as a stray from the Bath Cats & Dogs home here in the UK. We don't know exactly what he is, but our best guess is that he's a Springer Spaniel/Collie cross.

Strangely, because he lives in Bradford-on-Avon and likes sitting in the garden watching people go by, he may even have seen Ploughman and his dog walking past on occasion.
