Hello,

I was wondering how the Assassin's Creed 2 HUD will be like?

will it be the syncronization bar like assassin's creed or something else?

I am also wondering if they kept the puppetering concept, different buttons for the differents body movements

Maybe they made more complex moves and combinations or they just kept it simple like in AC 1

Please share your ideas!

(P.S don't spam this thread by saying this was already posted blah blah blah... because I checked and nothing on this was previously posted)

It will look like the one in this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Jw9SuyFdEM) video.

Also, if you've seen the (illegal) PAX footage on Youtube, then you'll know what I mean.

The puppetering concept still exist. Its in the unreleased PAX video.

In the upper left hand corner, there is a symbol which replace the hidden/unseen/suspicious/alerted. It's changed to be like a meter to measure the current notoriety you have. Diamonds are now your health/sync bar. left bottom shows the amount of money you have + the current selected weapon. Right bottom is the map. The border of the map is now going to represent the hidden/exposed/unseen/suspicious. Even though i've only seen green(blended) and red(exposed).

This is not the final confirmed HUD in the game. It's only what's shown during the PAX demostration.

Hello,

The Hud looks really edgy, like an evolution from the first one. And you will be able to turn any element of, or all of them http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

And yes the game still use this unique gameplay mechanics.

Hey Atmon - Just want to say thanks for all the info you supply us with here on the forum. Being a fan I really appreciate it.

Can I just ask about the markers we see above the factions? Can they be turned off???

thanks jaybyrne10, I'm happy that you appreciate http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Regarding elements like faction markers or crowd limits when you blend in, or even target highlights, you shouldn't be able to remove them. They are not part of the on screen HUD but they belong to the universe and the animus.

This isn't in the right place.

But Patrice said the fighting was about countering.

Hopefully the double click Square (Or X if your 360) is still in there.

Those kills always seem cooler to me.

I'm almost certain we saw a combo attack in the unreleased PAX demo video while Patrice was playing, so don't worry.

Because the Animus is really the first prototype for GLaDOS, and she's starting to become an evil computer.

That's why Microsoft has no official claim on Abstergo... I mean Aperture Science. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

Edgy is good http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Any chance we might get a sampling of it soon?

Does Desmond get a HUD? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

Awesome portal reference.
The Assassin's are considered Black Mesa.

I played AC1 without the HUD it was more immersive I hope this new weapons wheel system won't make the game pause when I select weapons

I think it will pause the game because from the PAX demo, we see ezio pulling a gun through the weapons wheel, it seems as if the game is paused, but i might be wrong!

It has to be....if it's part of the animus then you can turn it off....RIGHT?! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/sadeyes.gif.

I wouldn't mind the crowd circles as much. I can alway position the camera so they're out of view. But the faction markers are going to drive me crazy. Not only do they look bad, they make the game too easy for me. If I can see from halfway across the city where the mercenaries are then it's not a challenge at all if I plan to use them to help me escape some guards.

Wont your mind be too focused on the chase to even care about the markers? In times when our adrenaline is pumping, we take notice to details less. I highly doubt the markers will e a big deal if we're in an action packed chase.

i think permanent marker's are a good and bad idea, caise they will get annoying after a while but what about if you turned them off....and you are getting chased and started looking for them and couldent find them?

When I'm in a chase in AC1 I can spot the birds on the edge of the roof top while the guards are right behind me. And the markers stand out a lot more than the birds.

I'm actually hoping to be able to turn them off. And I like the extra challenge. If I can't find one than I have to choose a different plan. That would require a little more thinking. This means the game is inviting me to try something different from what I would normally do. That leads to variety in the gameplay.

They are still improving the game, maybe that isn't the final one!
