Not sure if the Mods will be okay with this thread but.....
I was wondering if someone with FRAPS or a similar program would be generous enough to record and send me the cut-scenes from Assassin's Creed, with all the different view points/camera angles, and any gameplay would be appreciated as well. My current computer isn't "powerful" enough to support AC.
I want to use the scenes for video making. The only problem is that, every since my computer restarted itself from factory condition, my movie maker only plays WMV files. So if the recordings aren't converted into WMV files, don't bother.
The only person I know with FRAPS of this forum is Nokishimojy, but if anyone else has it, I would be very grateful for your help.

Thanks http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Are you making a spoof, like Devil May Cry: The Stupid Files?

Fraps is actualy well known for having loads of problems with the game, the same as xfire. so not sure how easy it will be for you to get the vids

You crack on, no problem with it at all. I was going to say what Cas has already said anyhoo.

Perhaps some of the established mini movie makers will dip in and lend some advice http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

No, don't think so. Maybe... music vids with AC footage?

All the cut scenes from all angles? Wow, that ain't a small request now is it.

1st problem: As mentioned, FRAPS and Xfire have problems recording from AC. Not to mention that Xfire's codec is near impossible to convert.

2nd: How is anyone going to send it to you. All the cutscene's together are a few gigs of recording depending on your screen size. Only solution would be to find a host that allows you to upload at least a gig.

3rd: Is there really anyone that feels like doing this?

I don't want to demotivate you http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif . No really I don't http://media.ubi.com/us/forum_images/gf-glomp.gif

Yes, I usually make music videos, lol

What I mean by camera angles, is....well, you know when the glitches go across the screen and you can press a button (depending on what you play it on) and you can switch camera angles?
That's what I mean

I original finished AC on 360. But now that's it's broken I might give the Steam version a chance and record the cut scenes for you.

Let's see if I can get a trainer to skip the repetitive parts.

I'm trying to record it using FRAPS. But I keep running into the same problem everyone else has. There's no sound and everything is fast forward. Does anyone know what the crowd at YouTube uses to record?

EDIT: Xfire isn't working at all.
2nd EDIT: It's working now http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.

Quick question tough, do you want every single cut scene. Or only the ones after the assassination. Or every single one with a glitch in it? Do you also need Desmond's cut scene's(If there are any)?

3rd EDIT: Yes I know http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif , But the sound is not synced with the video. It's too late to do something about it now. I'll try tomorrow

I'm sorry UchihaKarasu, but it seems like more people are having this problem. Unless there's a fix, I cannot continue. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/compsmash.gif

*3 months later*
So... This gave me an excuse to play AC again. And I did, and this time I recorded it.

I've uploaded most of the video's, take a look and see if there's anything useful in it for you:
