Dear Oleg Maddox,

I would like to express my gratitude for the fantastic airwar simulation you have created, and the ongoing support you and your Team are still giving to this series and the fan-community and all players around the globe. I
play and have played many games, and I have never seen anything alike from any other developper.

In regards to some other threads which went unlucky, I would like to express to you that I have full confidence in your Battle of Britain project, not only that it will be released, but also that it will be a absolute fabulous creation, maybe the most ground-breaking airwar sim since appearance of those on home PC's.
The many hints we have seen, be it pictures or posts from you, indicate just that.

You are head of your team and you do as you thinks it's best with regards to what gets released to the public and when. Working in the entertainment industry myself I understand you fully. We will see updates when it's adequeate, and when you judge it being the time.

Best wishes and courage for the ongoing creation of your oeuvre.
You will turn this into a Masterpiece of it's own, I have full confidence in this.

Sincerely,

Nausicaa

I've seen it once before, Dynamix took 7 years to get Red Baron 2 out and ended up losing
control to Sierra in the process. Dynamix was also a VERY GOOD company for flight sims
when they were still a company.

Now there is Maddox Games that goes extra miles for combat flight sims when others quit.

Live well Oleg and I am hoping more new roads open up for all your team.

I'm haven't always liked the direction Maddox has taken FB/PF, but in all fairness, he's been more forthcoming about all matters (sans a certain non-disclosable legal affair involving an unnamed French software publisher and an unnamed American aerospace corporation) than most, if not all medium and large computer game developers.

I'm not worried that we will see BoB. I wouldn't be surprised if the release date slips a time or two, in fact I rather expect it (it's becomming something of an industry standard). But Battle of Britain will be released, and the Battle of France after that, I'm sure.

Agreed 100% as well. I may not agree 100% with him and the decisions undertaken all the time but I trust him that he knows what he is doing.

I think he is better prepared with what is going into BoB than any time previously. I think we'll see a product that is much better prepared for the rigors of time.

Thanks guys for your answers.

I thought it would have been more..sad that such a thread gets 7 answers, while the "Vote for..", "We want", "I want", "Oleg look at" "Oleg when" etc sometimes spread over several pages in 48 hours time.

Ok. I have great faith in oleg and his sim too, despite my complaints on 4.04 AI. In the past, tis always been I praising oleg and being called a fanboi 24/7. His sim is still great and that`s why i`m still here. How soon people forget. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

My tuppence worth,
thank you Oleg a million times, this flight sim just keeps getting better and better.
The 1C:Maddox developers are true enthusiasts for this sim and it shows.
With BoB making it's debut later this year we are all in for a treat, and I for one can't wait.
And so what if there are problems along the way, this team listens and does respond.

Good luck Oleg and your team, more power to you. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

The Il2 series is and has always been in a class by itself, both in the sim itself and in the the company that produces it. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/clap.gif

I've been flying the IL-2 series since the beta days and I still get blown away by Oleg and crews work. I will buy all future Oleg add-ons even its just to support his company. The hours of entertainment I've had over the last five years is priceless.

With the few details I've seen on the BOB project, I'm starting to believe even more that it will completely blow away even this beautifull piece of work. Long Live Oleg.
