It's "Leetspeak", raaaid. "Leet" = "elite".

It's a sort of a joke based on the way some people type using numbers instead of letters.

"1337" is "LEET".

Read THIS. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leet)

1x3x3x7=63

6+3=9

A phonetic "9" is German for "No".

No is a recognised abbreviation for number.

1337 is a number.

Now multiply those numbers in sequence...

You see how life rotates and repeats. Tolstoy had a point with 'War & peace' methinks.

That should keep you busy for a while http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

it amazes me the way people can send hidden messages

take the word fair=joust

joust comes from latin, fair is an old english word for blonde hair

so someone in history switched meaning and sent the message that blonde hair is equivalent to joust

no i was wrong fair in old english stands for beatifull,joust... like fairies

the twist comes from using it as blonde, i saw it in a movie there are a lot of words like this

you should see vasque women before making stand blonde for beatifull

im not criticing the english we have the same words in spanish for example moreno"tanned" comes from moro a despective word for morrocians or muslims, so when you are saying someone as a compliment that is tanned you are implicintly using the despective word moro

raaaid, evolution of language has nothing to do with 1337=el-e-e-t (elite). It's just numbers for the letters they resemble.

"no i was wrong fair in old english stands for beatifull,joust... like fairies"

You are missing the tricky part of the English language - that is, many words that are spelt the same have more than one meaning, and may be used as a noun or an adjective.

Thus fair can mean light coloured (as in fair -haired) - or reasonable (as in a fair decision, or fair -mindedness) - or it may refer to a public celebration similar to a Spanish fiesta, with trading goods a common feature.
So, we might go to a fair on the village green, or in the parish hall, and enjoy a community festival. There may be a few blonds there - but it wouldn't matter if they were all dark-haired, the event would still be a fair

Historically, the village fair was often a venue for jousting. This form of armed exhibition-battle gradually declined with the passing of the Middle Ages - and was replaced until recently by wrestling and boxing matches.

So, "all the fun of the fair" has nothing to do with blonds or brunettes - though you may end up leaving with a beautiful person of some description http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

B

Oh, and fairy has nothing to do with fairness. Start here: _______ (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairy)

lEETSPEAK= *******es

Mostly used by 14 year old pimple faced geeks with nothing better to do with thier lives than to screw up other peoples computers by writing malicous code, out right hacking in general, or spending 17 hours a day guzzling down bawls and playing 1st person shooter games, or jerking off to the ladies underwear section of the f*cking Sears catalog.

In other words leetspeak is just about as useless as the snot nosed lil batids that use it. IMO

Result of social evolution for the culture to survive. It is enough having to confront all neighbouring cultures, to further worsen this by a decrease in manpower due to fewer children. Today's general intolerance against homosexuals doesn't seem to exist to tackle a substantial issue; it just stuck there with us. Will probably go away, sloooowly, and be substituted by something else.

(In true raaaidian style) I expect smokers to be the homosexuals of the future. What do you think smokers of this forum? What do you think homosexuals of this forum?

LStarosta

What if you're a flaming homosexual, and as a result you emit smoke?

How can you hang these people from a tree if they might make a tree catch fire. Likewise, you can't really tar and feather them because you'll just ruin some high-quality goose down that could have been used in a FABULOUS comforter.

Do tell, how shall we lynch and persecute flaming homosexuals in a Tacticool™ manner?

No Raaaid, I think it would be 'tui pater' on the grounds it should be the Genative.

Not 100% sure, though - was a while ago http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
