Hey guys. Thought it'd be fun to post bragging rights. List your tonnage/high profile targets sunk for all to enjoy.

I'll get this started... although it's far from being a patrol worth bragging about http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif -

Thus far, I've been mostly playing the single missions and testing out different aspects of the game.. but i did manage to go on a single patrol with a type IIA boat, but it was fruitless.. encountered a single merchant at long range, but lost it to bad weather http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif
i had some good success in the single missions though.. sank several merchants one destroyer and a battleship http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Tonnage sunk = whatever one torpedo weighs.

Same here, I found a long range contact but lost him to a harbor and a DD hounding me before I could find him.

I thought DDs w/ depth charges weren't in 1939 warfare?

3 Patrols so far with a Type VIIB of 7th Flotilla from Kiel, starting in '39, all realism settings except exterior view (for those beautiful screenshots) enabled, sank 15 ships with 60.000+ BRT.

First patrol, started Sept 1, 1939, with a VIIB out of Kiel. Ordered to patrol sector BE96 (off the NW coast of Spain), went north around the UK to avoid the naval and air congestion of the English Channel. Encountered a lone C2 off the Norwegian coast, sunk it. Encountered a 15 ship convoy heading to Liverpool around sector AM25, without a single escort. Fired off 6 torpedoes into the mass, got 3 hits and detonations, sank one C2 transport. While returning from patrol the same route, encountered a small merchant NE of Scapa Floe, sank same. Encountered another C2 transport off Norway, hit it with my last 3 torps, all 3 detonated, but ship would not go down. I came to a stop and waited for 4 hours, it was dead in the water and riding low, but wouldn't go under. The weather was too bad the entire duration of 28 days to man the deck gun, so I had to leave it. Total tonnage sunk, 14,220.

I'll bite...

1st Patrol
Patrolled GridAM24
No ships sunk and no contacts in the assigned patrol grid. I did get spotted and attacked by 3 or 4 Hurricanes. They made bombing runs, but all missed. Couldn't man the AA gun as the sea was too rough.

2nd Patrol
Assigned a grid in the AL zone, but diverted to AM zone when I received a radio message of large convoy. Spotted convoy and made a night surface attack. Fired 2 torpedoes at a large tanker. Both hit but were duds. Fired 2 more torpedos at large merchant. Both hit and both again turned out to be duds. Needless to say I was getting very angry. Once tubes were reloaded I fired off 1 torpedo at medium tanker. Fish hit and damaged tanker. Fired 1 torpedo at medium merchant. Once again fish hit and damaged merchant.

Fired 1 torpedo at Medium tanker. Torpedo hit and sank T2 tanker (10,817 tons) immediately at 00:43. Fired 1 torpedo at costal merchant (1993 tons)which hit it and sank it after 5 minutes at 01:11. Fired off 4 more torpedos at tanker and merchant ship all of which missed.

Disengaged from convoy and returned to base.

Total tonnage sunk in 2 patrols 12,810 tons.

7th Flotilla

54% realism

Over 6 patrols I've accumulated 63,000 Tons (mid 70s realism). I've been lucky enough to only run into lone merchants, except one time at night when a DD came bearing down on me at 33 knots. Sighted him at 2000 yards, directly off my bow...

CRASH DIVE, FIRE 2 TORPEDOES (snapshot right at him)

Both hit just as I slid under the waves. Only 400 yards off when they hit.
