I don't have a computer at the moment so im wondering how it handles and perform?

Slow for '45, but nimble. Pretty rugged compared to the Zero (but what isn't?). Good armament and easy to shoot from. I like the sight dimmer; for some reason I'm always shooting into the sun... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif

Yes, a bit on the slow side, but overall a good plane to fight in. Excellent in the dive, and a good gun platform. I love it when F6Fs think they can turn with you...

It's far slower than it should be.

no right speed ingame about 350mph max maybe more though ki-61 should slightly faster but i cant get go faster than 330mph thinch find odd????

Yhea, IIRC the KI-61 should fly about 367 MPH at it's top speed...

I thought the KI-100 was also good for 360 not 350?

i flying 3000 feet maybe that why planes tend bit slower, maybe fast higher up

That could be it, I guess the thicker air adds too much drag. Drag from the radiators opening as they get hot could be another factor.

Says: Maximum speed 360 mph at 19,685 feet and 332 mph at 32,810 feet

Time to test!

Ok...did a test.
Settings:
Ki-100-Ko
Crimea
12:00
50% fuel
Default loadout
Supercharger Stage 2
Fuel Mix 80%
Water/Methanol injection enabled
110%

Result: 20,000 feet 349mph

So its about 10 mph too slow at rated altitude. Which is close...but tweakable.

The comments about being both nimble and a good gunnery platform are both true, which is an interesting combination. Nimble planes can be hard to control sometimes.

It's responsive. It does what you tell it to do and doesn't pull surprises. If you ask too much and stall, you can get out of it pretty easily.

Firepower is good, especially with those easy-to-aim cowl guns.

I do believe that top speed testing is done with full tanks. At least that is how the US military services and the NACA did it.

I'll wager that the Ki100 is even slower than you test reveals.

Oh...just seemed to be the norm around here.

IIRC the IJA pilot that flew the Ki-100 said "Ki-100 won't lose against a Mustang, but it can not win it either."

Does everyone else have the Ki-100 in the skins folder? I can fly the airplane okay, but the only new ones available for skinning are the Buffalo 1 and four cannon Spit.

Rene Francillon in his "Japanese Aircraft of the pacific war "

is saying for the
Ki-61-Ib(=Ki-61-Otsu in game) 592km/h in 4860m.
Ki-100-I 580km/h in 6000m.

i have no proplem to reach these 580km/h TAS at 6000m with the Ki100.
but to reach the 592km/h at ~4900m eith the Ki61 is impossible for me in level flight http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
im more at 540-550km/h TAS - and that would be realy to slow

Seems about right...the Ki-100 matches (or seems to) the Mustang for climb and beats it for turn, roll, and general aerobatics. So what a Ki-100 pilot has to do is keep the Mustang at bay with turns and bleed his energy down to a level where the Ki-100 can then strike. Usually you only get a few seconds to shoot.

Its like fighting jets.
