View Full Version : 12Feb update: Legion Kondor( NEW PICS)

02-08-2006, 06:03 AM

This campaign will take you from Jagdfliegerschule (Fighter pilot training school) through to service in Spanish Civil War. It includes training, air-to-air, air-to-ground, air-to-sea,escort, reconaissance and even ferry flight missions!
There has to be something you'll like in there http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif.

The missions are finished now so they are off to the esteemed Messers. Saunders1953 and Han Freak Solo to be put through their paces. Then final alterations will be made and it can be uploaded.

The pics below show some of the variety of aircraft featured in the campaign.

Ahh. Training flights! Always so much fun...

The Kondor Legion's home away from home.

Your main ride

Some of your playmates

It's all fun until someone loses an eye.

But if someone HAS to lose an eye, then it may as well be someone from the OTHER team!

Training flights http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/34.gif Looks cool.

I can't wait !

PS : Can you recommend any good books about the SCW ? Even though I like Cr@pplanes et al, it's a bit of a Forgotten Battle ( esp. for those of us who grew up far away in Africa ). Thanks.

Cheers http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Africa?! Hah. That's CLOSE!!! I'm from NZ http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gifand now Japan):vhap

To be honest, I've only read one book on it -the was Antony Beevor's "Spanish Civil War". It ws re-released last year after the success of his other excellent books - "Stalingrad" and "Berlin". Those two are not for the fainthearted.

Thanks for the reply.

Very cool FlatSpin!!

I'm mostly an on-line flyer, but I'll be making an exception for this one...

Thanks guys http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif. I'm hoping to upload it to Airwarfare. I'll let you know.
Glad I could tear you away from online for this, Helgstrand. Once you go off-line, you never go back. (No.Just doesn't have the same ring, does it?).
Achilles - as a fellow NZer I'm keen to try out your new campaign asap. I'll be watching the thread in Mission Builders.PS - who are you backing in Super 14? I'm supporting the Highlanders and Canterbury in that order. I like the Highlanders but they always choke so I have Canterbury as a backup.

OMG I CAN'T WAIT!!! Sturm_williger get "The Legion Condor" by Karl Ries & Hans Ring -
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0887403395/qid=1139449...ks&v=glance&n=283155 (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0887403395/qid=1139449766/sr=1-2/ref=sr_1_2/103-5274176-0983811?s=books&v=glance&n=283155) it is worth every cent and more! I know I keep bringing this up but imho it is the best history of the Legion available - and it includes many apendi covering actual losses, dates of kills, etc. A must read for anyone who is playing these wonderful campaigns. FlatSpinMan my hats off to you - you have gone above and beyond creating these campaigns for a period in history that so many overlook. All I can say is Thank You! The screenies look great!

Good to hear from you Gaston! I have been pretty busy as you can see. I'll give you a real email shortly. As for the Swiss skins, it's a bit of a secret.
Wayno - thank you kindly, sir. I hope it will be enjoyable.

Hehe, don't really follow the super 12 (14) all that religously, but I guess my loyalty would have to go with the Blues.... booh hiss I hear you cry? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

As for my "project", finishing it up tonight/tomorrow, current testing is progressing well... so shouldn't be too much longer. Hope to post a pic update this weekend at least.

Once completed will upload to Airwarfare as well.

Hopefully by the time im done with the last mission, the servers will allow me to nab the patch slightly faster than at snails pace http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif

Cheers! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Yeah, just going through briefings yet again to add a few more facts to it.
"Luftwaffe Pilot: Legion Kondor" - "Now with added History!!"

Luftwaffe Pilot: Legion Kondor - "Now with extra History!" and packed full of Biplane goodness!!!!

@Achilles- I like the Highlanders and Crusaders but if I ever go back to NZ it'll probably be to Auckland. Nice city.
