View Full Version : Thank you for PF

I would just like to thank Oleg for the wonderful game. I bought PF yesterday and so far I think its brilliant. I definately have no cause for complaint. I absolutely love the A-20 and the Beaufighter. At last some twins! Brilliant. Beautiful carriers too.

YAY! Someone with a good attitude about the game that appreciates it for what it is! You sir, are almost one of a kind. I havent bought the game just yet, but I too am thoroughly jazzed about it. If it is of the same quality as previous IL2 editions, its going to be nothing less than excellent. I have hoped and waited for a pacific addition to IL2 almost from day one and now I have it! What a COOL thing! The nit-pickers trying to pick the fly sh-- out of the pepper and the whiners with no life seem to be the rule on this forum, (note how few have agreed with you), so to hear someone say how nice the game is is absolutely refreshing.

I agree, Thank you Oleg! WELL DONE!

You guys ever heard of "The Silent Majority"? We're still out here, and we still love the sim...funny thing about whiners and trolls is, they make alot of noise.

Yeah thanks for PF. The whiners are trying to takeover even great screenshot threads with their moaning. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

I second that motion. (emotion) I was using MS CFS2 for a couple of years but it was getting pretty dated and I eventually uninstalled it in favour of using IL2/FB. But I missed the Pacific theatre as I live in Oz and have visited a number of the battle fields and of course have read up on the war in the Pacific, especially the air war.

I should add that there are some mighty good missions from CFS2 and I might try to reproduce some in PF, especially some of those based around New Guinea, Solomons and Palau. (Too bad Rabaul's not in the sim yet.)

When I get it that is - its not yet released in Oz but is expected this week.

A final thought for the developers. Could you please consider whether its possible to patch PF in future for a "jump to action" or jump to next waypoint option. Occasionally I enjoy sitting at in the pit and enjoying the scenery but most times I need to get to the action without hours of flying (especially when I get the sh*t shot out of me quite often in tough missions and therefore spend ages flying to the site of my demise only to get killed in the first few encounters then have to start again.) I kinda figure this is going to be even worse in PF than in FB given the distances and miles of ocean. (Just a request -not a whine.) :^)

PS guys please don't jump on my head for including a request above as it is not meant as a whine, I am very appreciative for the efforts made by the developers who I am sure once again have done a stirling job. (Besides which, whining about whining is very unbecoming.)
