or is it just me? I was at 200m (after beeing depthcharged for 2 hours by 3 destroyers) and after losing them and on my way up to 20m i pressed F2 to watch the deptgauge along with the the crew i the control room.

To my surprise it seems like the sub is tilting to the left side but the sub is level sideways (i checked):

And also it seems to be in a dive move (interior aft is to the right on the picture) but the sub is rising:

Very strange. Can some1 plz confirm if it looks the same on their screen or if i should change brand on my diet coke http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Yes it's the same for everyone. THey made the right side of the screen rise and the left side go down when in an accent and vise versa. Now if you would have looked at the navigators desk, it would have looked correct.

It's just the way your guy is standing. Sometimes the way the guy is looking seems wrong, but there is a way to see that it is working. Just look forward, and order a dive or rise in depth, and you will see that the hatch goes up as it should, or goes down, depending on the angle of the sub- so it is correct.

Now, what is throwing everyone off, is when you are looking to the side, because the camera leans also. When leaning to the side (looking to the side during a dive for instance) the camera view should stay steady, but instead it seems like his head it tilted in that direction.

All you gotta do is look forward and you'll see that it is correct- it's the side that gets funny because of the way the guy seems to stand/lean with his head tilted.

how in the heck do you get depth charged for 2 hours???????????????????? I have never been depth charged more than 30 minutes IF I park my sub. That's it, isn't it, you keep running around trying to throw off the DDs instead of just parking and allowing their AI to run its 15 to 20 minute course. SO they keep hearing engines and they keep dropping charges on you.

Here's how you do it right. Dive at Flank, on the way down turn hard 90 degrees either way. Then once down, go to silent running and SLOW for just long enough to make you crew shut up and settle down, then cut your engines off and make a hard turn the other way 90 degrees. then go straight by gliding with your engines off until you come to a complete stop. and then fo watch TV for about 20 minutes. Then come back and note that the DDs are on the horizon.

Its that easy.
